Ha, I almost forgot this existed! During a recent resume revamp (RRR?) I was trying to remember a specific mechanism I used for a performant styling solution, and it led me to this old doc I wrote.
I present it here, mainly out of some nostalgia but also as an early example of my own professional facing technical writing. I was trying to anticipate and answer many of the questions developers would bring to me when they were trying to use our Web Component system.
I won't say it's perfect, and the UI kit we built certainly wasn't. But it was a deeply engaging creative engineering problem that I haven't seen the likes of in a while, so there's a bit of pride and pining in seeing it again.
